Recently announced as the headline act at Mitchell Creek Road Rock and Blues Festival, Serbian guitar slinger Ana Popovic has announced an Australian tour!
Ana is a force to be reckoned with on the contemporary blues scene. The multi-award winner is renowned for mixing intense electric blues grooves, with slide guitar, jazzy undertones, and lusty feminine vocals.
With playing that matches the intensity of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan’s, she has acquired a loyal following worldwide, and is bound to send some minds into a state of guitar driven intoxication when she makes her way down under this September.
Nominated for five Blues Music Awards, and having shared the stage with blues legends of both past, and present such as B.B King, Buddy Guy, Randy Hansen, Eric Clapton, Jonny Lang, Joe Bonamassa, and Gary Clark Jr. she proves that one doesn’t need Southern roots to play the blues with spirit, and ferocity.
