In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Grimes has spoken out about sexism in the music industry, sharing some down right disturbing stories about her past experiences.

Without disclosing any names, the Canadian musician has sated that many males have threatened to stop working with her unless she engaged in sexual acts with them. In a Rolling Stone interview, Grimes explained “I’ve been in numerous situations where male producers would literally be like, ‘We won’t finish the song unless you come back to my hotel room’”.
“If I was younger or in a more financially desperate situation, maybe I would have done that. I don’t think there are few female producers because women aren’t interested. It’s difficult for women to get in. It’s a pretty hostile environment.”
After the interview was shared, in a bit of a twist Grimes took to Twitter to express her frustration as being portrayed as a victim rather than the successful producer she is.
