Greta Van Fleet live up to the hype on Anthem Of The Peaceful Army

Michigan rock band Greta Van Fleet have finally released their much-hyped debut album Anthem Of The Peaceful Army… but does it live up to the hype? Well, in short, yes.

They’ve been hailed as the future of rock music, which is a big cross to bear for a group early twenty-year-olds… but on their debut album, the quartet have well-and-truly proved themselves as worthy torchbearers.

Michigan rock band Greta Van Fleet have finally dropped their debut album Anthem Of The Peaceful Army… but does it live up to the hype? Well, in short, yes.

Greta Van Fleet’s old-school brand of flailing rock n’ roll flies a little close to Led Zeppelin at times, however across the new album’s eleven tracks, the band craft something that’s completely their own… and truthfully, it’s refreshing as hell to see a band unafraid to wear their influences on their sleeve.

From the moment the album’s six minute, slow-burning opener Age Of Man eases you in with soaring vocal lines, you’ll be unable to rip your attention away from the band’s blistering sounds.

Anthem Of The Peaceful Army is on hell of a debut release, and we can’t wait to hear what the band deliver next. Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait long to find out.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new album above.
