Good Grace’s new single is a rich tapestry of poetry and folk-rock drive

With their honest, poetic lyrics and folk-rock drive, Good Grace are back with their second single of the year Never Be; proving they’re an artist to watch in 2019.

The Perth-based 5-piece are spreading their magic from Western Australia, and we’re so glad they’re sharing!

Good Grace Never Be

On their new single Never Be, Western Australian outfit Good Grace weave a rich tapestry of sounds you’ll have no problem getting lost inside of.

Power and honesty are the first words that come to mind when listening to Never Be. The sweet folk melodies lend themselves perfectly to the raw and honest poetry, reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, yet it’s not without 80s rock influence.

There is so much emotion behind frontwoman Johannah’s vocals, creating a power that is simultaneously powerful and vulnerable. We guarantee you’ll be left hanging on every word. Add in spell-binding guitar riffs and air-tight percussion, and you’ll be completely charmed.

Good Grace create an atmosphere that’s intimate and thought-provoking, with a drive and power that toys with your heart. Starting with the folk influences of established singer-songwriter Johannah Grace then blending in the 80s rock influences of Luke and Chris Olejnik and the later addition of Shaun Davis (keys/vocals) and James Vinciullo (bass/vocals) their sound has evolved into alternative folk-rock that’s brimming with honesty and heart.

Never Be is the group’s second single of the year and comes just weeks before their debut EP release. Having already heard two irrevocably mesmerising and moving singles, we can’t wait to hear the rest of the record!
