Turn it up with Vida Cain in Perth next Friday as they launch their killer sophomore album Yeah Nah

Perth certainly knows how to cook up an act. Countless Aussie artists have popped out of the little city in the far west, and it’s certainly being recognised for it’s thriving culture these days.

Vida Cain have been kicking around the Perth and regional WA scene since they threw together a string of live shows and a debut EP in 2012. Two years later saw the band go national with their first record The Rule Of Gravity. Now that we’re in 2016, the fellas are ready to unleash their latest: an 11 track offering named Yeah Nah.

Don’t mistake Vida Cain’s recent quietness for inactivity. The Perth act have been splicing together a kickass second release, and they’re launching it at home next month.

Early 2016 saw Vida Cain locking themselves up with Eskimo Joe guitarist Joel Quartermain in his Wasteland Studio to bring Yeah Nah into fruition. Quartermain is hardly the first lavish producer they’ve worked with, joining forces with Andy Lawson (Little Birdy, End of Fashion) and Leon Zervos (Muse, Crowded House) for their debut EP way back when.

Fear What You Don’t Say is the first taste the band have released of the upcoming record, a frighteningly catchy track that definitely echoes lyrical and production work from iconic Aussie rock powerhouses. It’s a promising preview of what’s to come, to say the least.

The official Yeah Nah album launch will be taking place on October 14th at the Badlands Bar in East Perth. The local rockers will be joined by The CaballerosLiam Naughton and MOON PUPPY. Oh, and there’s $5 drinks if you cheese it over there for happy hour. Yiew.
