Fortune Shumba is heading down under for a string of epic Australian shows!

This September, iconic South African queer musician Fortune Shumba will be descending upon Australian shores for a huge string of appearances at Brisbane’s BIGSOUND and Heaps Gay’s Trash Parties in Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle.

Born and raised in the South African town of Kabokweni, in the Nelspruit region, Fortune Shumba raps and sings in both English and his native Swati.

Iconic South African queer artist Fortune Shumba is descending upon Australian Shores this September for a huge string of Australian performances.

Since posting his debut EP Dawn on Soundcloud two years ago, the artist has remained unapologetically vocal about his support for members of the LGBTQ community and remains an activist against any form of abuse towards women, children and queer people.

He channels these themes through his music and live sets, which are often filled with colour and extremely creative, out of the ordinary elements.

Fortune Shumba is quickly becoming an artist to watch on the global music scene. Don’t miss your chance to catch him live at any of the following dates:

September 8th – The Tivoli, Brisbane – Heaps Gay Trash Palace
September 15th – 24 Moons Bar, Northcote – Heaps Gay Trash Tour
