From Pod to Last Splash: alt-rock legends The Breeders to reissue four albums on vinyl

The first four albums by The Breeders will be reissued on vinyl by next month, it has been confirmed. After last month saw the release of their latest album All Nerve, the alt rock outfit are given fans a lot to look forward to with news of this reissue.

Fronted by none other than The Pixies’ Kim Deal, The Breeders met widespread critical acclaim for their debut album Pod (1990). The record was even famously described by Kurt Cobain as one of his favourites ever.

Thanks to 4AD, you’ll soon be able to grab the first four albums from alternative rock legends The Breeders on wax.

Last Splash (1993) and Title TK (2002) will also be getting the vinyl treatment. So too will Mountain Battles (2008), the last album from the band before their extended hiatus. Last Splash marked both a critical and commercial success for The Breeders, with lead single Cannonball charting worldwide.

To add to the exciting news, the band are slated to play a handful of shows across the UK and Ireland in late May. If you’re going to be northern hemisphere bound at this time, you can check out their upcoming tour dates here.
