EXCLUSIVE: Our mates over at Bedroom Suck have dropped a series of home videos for your enjoyment. Check out episode 1 featuring Free Time

Home videos can often entail visions of nostalgia, childhood or even something a little more cheeky, as made famous by numerous socialite neanderthals in times past. Today, however, we are lucky enough to experience a new breed of home recording from none other than Bedroom Suck our favourite pals from up north.

With one of the finest label rosters this side of the equator, what better way for Bedroom Suck to show off their bands than with a set of home videos?

In Bedroom Suck Home Videos, presented by long running warriors of visual media, Balanalaramawe’ll be the lucky viewers, privy to performances put on at the new warehouse facility out of which Bedroom Suck produces its A-grade product.

At their new office, the label is set to play host to a series of sweet parties where all the action is gonna be committed to film, then committed to our eyes and ears in four minute bursts of awesome.

In the first instalment of the series, filmed by the mysterious marvel that is ABABCd we witness Free Timeand their insistent jangle. We’re introduced to the band and, indeed, the Home Videos series in the introduction of the clip in true 90’s home video style as if it were ripped straight from your Dad’s handycam.

VCR style fonts and a slinky cello ease us in to the meeting with Free Time that precedes their giddy performance. The four piece saunter laxly into the woozy dream pop of Blue Pillow a cut fresh from their newly dropped LP, In Search Of Free Time. The recorded version of the track is like trying to sleep in amongst a drug induced euphoria, every time you close your eyes you find yourself engulfed in waves of warmth and colour.

The live version, however, strikes a different, more raw nerve and is so personable and joyous, it’s like a condensed ultra shot of nostalgia bursting lovingly in one ear and around your brain. The 90’s are alive and well in 2016, that’s for damn sure.

With such a dense, rich cacophony of acts among their roster, the newly relocated Bedroom Suck Records are set to gift us with a series of endless musical wonders and visual heart-warmers. We can be expecting the likes of Lower Plenty, Terrible Truths and Scott and Charlene’s Wedding to grace us with their divine presence in the handycam paradise that is to be Bedroom Such Home Videos

Have a geez at Episode 1 and just try not to watch it ten more times or, indeed, eat your own face in desperate anticipation for the next instalment.
