Melbourne alt-rockers Eastbound Buzz drop gritty new single Do It Right

Harnessing an upbeat blend of classic rock undertones and a blues lilt, the latest single from Melbourne band Eastbound Buzz is a clear nod to the legends. We’re talking Bruce Springsteen, or Ryan Adams.

With a killer guitar solo chucked in the mix and a yearning, husky chorus, Do It Right is a track for the dancefloor, the solo walk home, or the crowded road trip singalong. Overall, it’s a feel good banger.

Eastbound Buzz

Eastbound Buzz are a dirty mix of blues and alt rock, recalling the bright riffs and gritty vocals of Ryan Adams and The War on Drugs.

There’s a distinct reason why the blues and country notes come on so strong with these guys. Original band members Jarryn and Jethro met during their childhood years in their hometown of Wagga Wagga, raised on the music they would soon be playing.

After a strategic move to North Melbourne, the pair were quickly joined by Andy and Louis, both of whom were studying and performing musicians. Forming the band quickly, they began writing and gigging across Melbourne and have developed a significant following. After hearing this single, the reason why is clear.

Do It Right is really focused upon “the tumultuous nature of human connection, and the sense of urgency that can be felt when navigating [these] relationships”, and comes as a sweet sweet taste of what is to come when Eastbound Buzz drop their debut EP later in the year.

In the lead-up these guys have been playing a number of shows across the city of Melbourne, and there are more on the cards in coming months.

The single was only released yesterday, available now on all their platforms. Get around it before the launch so you’re well versed for when Eastbound Buzz take the stage.
