DMA’s, The Preatures and Midnight Oil are recording a song together, and they want you to join the band

Here’s some pretty good news; DMA’s, The Preatures, Powderfinger, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, and heaps more are all recording a song together.

Here’s some even better news; they want you to contribute to that recording. What a world, hey?

A whole bunch of Australia’s best acts are recruiting you to record a new track, with all proceeds going to charity.

Described as Australia’s “largest interactive recording project,” EveryOneBand is a new initiative that’s aiming to top the Australian charts with a new collaborative track titled Stand By You. All proceeds will be going to music charity organisation Support Act.

If you want in, all you’ve gotta do is sign up to EveryOneBand, where you’ll be granted access to chord charts, backing tracks, sheet music, and other cool things.

Then you’ll have to record your own part of the song; you can sing a section, record guitar, piano, triangle, theremin, organ… whatever you want.

Send your recording back, and Bob’s your uncle. You’re done.

Joining the band is easy, free and there’s no auditions!” EveryOneBand organiser and GANGgajang frontman Mark Callaghan says.

All recordings will be compiled into one single track, and released to the general public on Friday March 18th.

Contributing artists also include Jimmy Barnes, Megan Washington, The Wiggles, Kate Miller-Heidke, Kasey Chambers, The Jezabels, The Grates, and heaps more.
