Dancing, drinking or straight chilling, Blenheim Festival is the way you should be spending your Easter weekend

This year, Good Friday will be extra good with the perfect concoction of nature, music, food and alcohol at Blenheim Festival.

For the first time ever, BlenheimFest are extending for an extra night at the bucolic Clare Valley in South Australia.

Accommodated by the rich pastors of the Clare Valley, Blenheim Festival showcases incredible musical talent from unique Australian and international guests.

This year, BlenheimFest is shining the spotlight on South Australian artists, but not without lending the stage to some big international and interstate acts.

Tijuana Cartel “have a knack for blending layers of rich, intricate soundscapes with pulsating rhythms and luscious vocals to form an electronic beats tapestry that will cut through to your very soul.”

And if that’s not enough to get you buying tickets ASAP, BlenheimFest have snagged Sahara Beck, “an independent artist in the truest sense of the word,” as well as Deep Street Soul with “hard-hitting gritty funk” and Bustamento, who “have returned to musical shores with a great collection of songs capturing the international flavour of their intrepid travels.”

Unfortunately Cal Williams Jr has had to pull out of the festival at the last minute for personal reasons, but the slot will be filled with local Adelaide band The Coconut Kids.

BlenheimFest is the whole package: local wine, beer and cider at the bar, camping included with the ticket, curated visual and performance arts, hand-picked food vendors with delicious local produce and culturally diverse menus, a super-cool market place and a goddamn BYO licence.

To top all the goodness off, every year BlenheimFest are raising money for local and international charities, notably New Hope Cambodia.

BlenheimFest 2017 will be held at Blenheim Farm (about 1.5 hour drive north of Adelaide) on 13 and 14 April.

Tickets go on sale 23 January on their website.
