Some great emerging talents have cleaned up at the 2019 Queensland Music Awards with Clea and Tia Gostelow taking home the cake.
Brisbane pop singer Clea picked up two awards for her huge single Dreaming, whilst emerging artist Tia Gostelow broke records with her debut album, Thick Skin.
The Queensland Music Awards have highlighted some formidable young talents to keep your eyes on. Clea, Tia Gostelow and Tokyo Twilight are among the names to take home awards.
Clea’s swirling single Dreaming took home the Pop Award and Song of the Year, the latter of which earned her a plaque on Brisbane’s Valley Walk of Fame. Tia, on the other hand, is the youngest artist to win album of the year at just 19 years old. Congrats!
The award ceremony took place at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane Showgrounds, and included performances from Amy Shark, DZ Deathrays, Clea, Tokyo Twilight and many more.
Prolific songwriter and Album of the Year nominee, Emily Wurramara won the Indigenous Award for Lady Blue and the Blues and Roots Award for Tap Sticks, while the 17-year old Queenslander Tokyo Twilight took home the School Award for Little Things.
