Oh Pep! unveil What’s the Deal with David?, the infectious first cut from album #2

Melbourne-based duo Oh Pep! are back for another spin, and they’ve just announced the details for their much anticipated second studio album, I Wasn’t Only Thinking About You.

The power duo have dropped their first single from the new album What’s the Deal with David?, and it’s as bright, bubbly and relatable as we all hoped it would be.

This will be Oh Pep!’s first release since their internationally acclaimed debut album, Stadium Cake, which dropped back in 2016.

What’s the Deal with David? echoes Oh Pep!’s virtuosic blend of pop and alt-folk, reflecting the curiosity and inevitable likability we’ve consistently seen from the pair since their musical debut in 2015.

The fusion of rich melodies, upbeat instrumentals and all-too-relatable lyrics are reminiscent of Aussie favourites spearheading the distinctive folk pop scene, including the likes of Julia Jacklin and Angie McMahon.

Oh Pep! have shared the stage with huge artists including Lord Huron, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Mountain Goats, making waves locally and across the world.

This year the Melbourne duo will be embarking on a massive international tour with Gregory Alan Isakov and Middle Kids across Europe, North America and Australia. See their full tour dates below.

Along with the irresistible singalong track, the single has been accompanied by a bright, vibrant music video featuring the duo in New York City.

I Wasn’t Only Thinking Of You will be released October 26 via ATO Records / People Speak. Pre-order the album here.
