With green-screens and leotards, Boycrush’s new video is 100% incredible

Fresh off the release of his debut full-length LP Desperate Late Night Energy, Auckland artist Boycrush (real name Alistair Deverick) has shared his strangely captivating new video for track 100%.

The new album features a huge selection of guest vocal performances from such artists as Chelsea JadeYumi Zouma, Tom Young, Madeira, and a heap of others.

100%, the brilliant new video from Auckland producer Boycrush and vocalist Yumi Zouma, will groove its way into your heart.

Full of incredible and colourful imagery, this new video is a damn good time. Seriously, we’re talking green-screen backdrops, awkward high-fives, and nicely fitted leotards. This clip’s got it all.

With Yumi Zouma’s dreamy guest vocal performance, and Boycrush’s airy, crisp production, the song itself is a shimmering slice of indie-pop that’ll groove its way into your heart with deeply infectious vocal melodies.

Alistair and I stumbled across a strange corner of Shutterstock that had a whole series of bizarre clips of people acting and dancing in front of a green screen,” says director Hayden Eastmond-Mein.

It was like we reached the bottom of the stock footage barrel and it was amazing – lots of terrible dancing and awkward corporate scenes.”

Thank the lord for that discovery. The result is one of my favourite videos of the year so far.
