Blank Realm are one lady and three gentlemen from Brisbane. They are seasoned psychedelic pop-punk makers. Their latest album Grassed In has just been released on Bedroom Suck Records in Australia and on Fire Records internationally.
Their work is wonderfully layered, echoing vocals blending into, and riffs over the top of the bass. They’ve really experimented and grown with their music on this recent release but still manage to retain the essence of their sound. Taking a different turn on several tracks from Blank Realm’s string of previous, denser stuff, the likes of Falling Down the Stairs and Back to the Flood on the new album are lighter and feel-good, whilst still showcasing their gritty lyrics and riffs.
