Let’s make one thing perfectly clear; Birdsville aren’t here to pull any punches. The Wollongong based three-piece (with one member from Canberra) belt out a crunching brand of punk music that will kick you straight in the teeth.
With the release of their debut single No Reaction, the band have immediately established their penchant for crafting hard-hitting rock tunes… and let us tell you, if you’re not already listening to this band, it’s definitely time you started.
On their debut single No Reaction, Wollongong three-piece Birdsville belt out a blistering slice of unapologetic punk.
Throughout the new single, Birdsville stomp through a concoction of punk, post-punk, emo, indie-rock and grunge to craft a sound that’s uniquely their own. With blistering guitars, bone-rattling percussion and thunderous gang-vocals, No Reaction is an all-out assault of noise from start to finish.
While the track will bombard you with vitriolic sounds, it never sacrifices strong vocal melodies and rich instrumentation. No Reaction will slap you in the face and stay in your head for weeks.
These are still early days for this three-piece, but judging by the quality of what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes from Birdsville.
