Bin Juice + Moonlight Junkies

Bin Juice aren’t a gooier, smellier version of Bluejuice. Not at all. They’re a freakin awesome funk band from the suburbs of Sydney who revel in breaking it down. If you’re in the Gong this Saturday (22 March), prepare your body for some down and dirty fun times at Rad/Yours & Owls.

The five piece have just released a 9 track LP titled Furious George, a collection of deep, heavy, tempo switching tunes sure to get even the most cynical music fan’s head bopping along. If you need any convincing that this is a show worth heading down to, check out the impeccable drum work on tracks like Hawaii and the compressed ineffable guitar grooves on 1990. The album is streamable in full from their Bandcamp and is totally worth investing a good afternoon of music appreciation to. You know what I mean.

In support are the equally sexy Moonlight Cowboys who borrow a little more from harder rock music of the 1970’s, who also have a debut EP on the way, due out in April. Like Bin Juice, these guys are masters of the breakdown, the sweet spots lying in between the choruses and verses. Doors at 8pm, tix are 7 bucks.
