Before they return down-under in January, The Growlers have dropped a new single

UPDATE: The Growlers have added a set of Beach Goth pop-up events in Sydney and Byron Bay. Check them out along with the tour dates below.

The Growlers have been pretty busy lately. Having just released their most recent album Casual Acquaintances in July, the Californian outfit have returned with an upbeat new single Who Loves The Scum?

Produced by Julian Casablancas and Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, War On Drugs, Weezer), the new track sits somewhere between the sleazy-disco goodness of City Club, and the hazy, beach-side garage sounds of their earlier work. With punchy, Strokes-esque percussion and jangly guitar lines, Who Loves The Scum? is the perfect summer jam.

Californian Beach Goth heroes The Growlers will be returning to Australia in January, and they’ll be bringing a killer new single with them.

This January, The Growlers will be returning to Australian shores for a run of shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, The Sunshine Coast and Byron Bay. If you were lucky enough to catch the band live on their last Aussie tour, you’ll know that they’re an unmissable act.

Known for playing lengthy sets with changing setlists every night, every Growlers show is a guaranteed good time. With a stack of new music behind them, we can’t wait to catch them in the flesh once again.

Do yourself a favour and listen to Who Loves The Scum? above, and catch The Growlers live at any of the following dates:
