The storied American music festival has released a very long of list of names to take the stage over its three-day length. Most importantly, nine Australian artists are to feature at the three-day-long festival.
Tame Impala heads the true blue cohort, which also includes soul sensation Chet Faker, Angus and Julia Stone, Alison Wonderland, DMA’s, Sheppard, Spookyland, Hermitude and Peking Duk. Electro Kiwi Broods will also be there representing the Antipodean music scene.
Lollapalooza, which will run from Friday 31 July until Sunday 2 August in Chicago, will be headlined by no-names Paul McCartney, Metallica and Florence and The Machine. A wide range of artists will making an appearance at the festival as well, from Sam Smith, to Flying Lotus, to FKA Twigs, to the solo project of Radiohead drummer Philip Selway.
The organisers of C3 Presents are also the people who now operate the resuscitated corpse that is the Big Day Out.
