Arts grant fun The Seed hosts fundraiser with Paul Kelly, John Butler, San Cisco and more

The Seed Fund, a non-for-profit arts grant founded by John Butler and Danielle Caruana of Mama Kin, has launched its first fundraiser which will include a special event hosted at the The Athenaeum Theatre on October 12. The event will be hosted by Zan Rowe, and will feature performances from Aussie music legend Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, San Cisco, Emma Louise and John Butler.

The Seed Fund has operated to help artists become self-sustained professionals with the help of of grants, workshops, partnerships and initiatives. The Athenaeum event will run as a part of a fundraising campaign that kicks off on September 1. Rewards for donations include personal and live offerings from the likes of Harry Angus of the Cat Empire, Marlon Williams, Skipping Girl Vinegar, Mama Kin and Ruby Boots. There are also VIP passes to St Jerome’s Laneway Festival up for grabs, digital marketing and PR mentoring sessions and cool paraphernalia from the likes of Gotye, Temper Trap and Clare Bowditch.
