Arcade Fire are the most recent band to be featured on the Spotify Singles series, where they delivered a live rendition of an original, plus a special John Lennon cover.
Arcade Fire have shared a cover of John Lennon’s 1973 tune Mind Games, alongside a stripped-back version of Everything Now for the Spotify Singles series.
Fresh off the back of releasing of their wildly successful new record Everything Now, the Canadian indie rockers took the chance to perform a fairly stripped-back version of the album’s title track. They also took on John Lennon‘s tune, Mind Games, from the 1973 album of the same name.
The cover hits quite close to the original, with sweeping strings swathed over the top of Win Butler’s softly echoed vocals.
