If you listen to one thing today, we recommend it be Andy Leon & The Great Mouse Parade’s new EP. Based out of Los Angeles, with roots from all over the USA, the band weave lush, story-driven indie-folk gems. Their music feels simultaneously intimate and expansive – it balances between vulnerability and power.
With the release of their new EP, the band continue to build upon their sounds to deliver something that will both evoke an emotional reaction and make your body move.
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Andy Leon has unveiled her new EP The Great Mouse Parade; a four-track collection of endearing indie-folk gems.
“The songs on the EP are glimpses,” Leon says. “We wanted people listening to feel as though they’ve been placed in a moment.”
Throughout the EP’s four-track duration, Andy Leon & The GMP weave together elements of indie-rock, jazz, and soul to craft a sound uniquely their own. With rich instrumental arrangements and blissful vocal hooks, the new EP is blanketed in a sense of peacefulness.
Leon navigates themes of heartbreak, self-reflection, anxiety, and desire with a captivating charm. Once you enter one of her sprawling sonic landscapes, you’ll never want to leave.
This is the latest in a string of great releases from Leon, and judging by everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes.
