Alta, a Melbourne-based duo, are currently creating a unique brand of sultry, sexy swoons that awash your senses, leaving you feeling replenished and pure. The duo, consisting of Hannah Lesser (vocals) and Julius Dowson (production), make the type of music that speaks to pivotal moments in life.
Downson’s production is spot-on, laying down beats that make you move your hips in ways you never thought possible, while Lesser’s hauntingly beautiful voice makes you wonder how two things can fit so well together. The feel-good vibes from their music transfer perfectly on to the stage; Downson’s precise production keeps the crowd entranced as Lesser closes her eyes to dance while captivating the crowd with her croons. When they both start grooving, their inimitable chemistry comes through.
The unsigned Melbournites have released two EP’s so far and with an ever-growing fan-base, as evidenced by their most recent gig at Goodgod in Sydney, they’re fast on the rise to the top. Watch for Alta to be the name on everyone’s tongue by the end of this year.
