Alaina’s new EP Homebound is an all-out assault of furious rock

Back in June, when Brisbane based four-piece Alaina dropped their searing debut single Rain, we were immediately on board. The band belt out the kind of crunching rock music that leaves you no choice but to pay attention.

And now, with the release of their debut EP Homebound, they continue to develop their unapologetic sounds.

On their new EP Homebound, Brisbane four-piece Alaina continue to develop their searing concoction of sounds to deliver a no-holds-barred slice of heavy rock.

Across the new EP, Alaina stomp through their signature concoction of soaring vocal lines, furious guitar riffs, and bone-rattling percussion to deliver a collection of five tracks that will leave you shaking at the knees.

From the moment their debut single Rain kicks things into gear, this EP doesn’t slow down. On I’m Not A Freak, the band delve into heavier territories, before stripping back to a raw and powerful ballad on Lay Your World On Me.

By the time the EP’s closer Illuminate (Wash Me Away) reaches its epic conclusion, you’ll have been roped in completely by Alaina’s blistering sounds.

These are still early days for this Brissy band, but judging by what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to Homebound above.
