A new box set of unreleased Tom Petty music is coming this September

Tom Petty released a lot of music throughout his career, though it turns out his vault was still stacked with unreleased music.

Well, it won’t be unreleased for long. On September 28th, a huge new box set of previously unreleased Tom Petty music is set to be released into the world.

Good news Tom Petty fans… a huge new box set of previously unreleased live and studio material is set to be released later this year. We can’t wait.

Titled American Treasure, the four-disc set will feature 60 tracks of unheard live and studio material from across Petty’s illustrious, four decade long career.

The set was curated by Petty’s daughter Adria, his wife Dana, his engineer Ryan Ulate, and longtime Heartbreakers band-mates Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench.

There is currently a countdown clock ticking away on the legendary artist’s website, which is set to reach zero at midnight (AEST).

I’m sure we can expect more details on the upcoming release when the clock runs out.

Last night, SiriusXM previewed the new box set by spinning an unreleased Petty song from 1982 called Keep A Little Soul.

Keep an eye out for more details as they become available in the coming days.
