A documentary on Mick Rock, the photographer behind the lens of some of the most famous shots in rock ‘n’ roll history, is on its way.

Rock is an enigmatic character who led an insane life and we’re about to get an unprecedented insight into all of it.

Director Barnaby Clay and VICE Documentary Films have partnered up to create  Shot! The Psycho Spiritual Mantra of Rock, a doco which examines Rock’s unbelievable life with the help of rare archival footage and exclusive interviews.

Due out in April, the film covers Rock’s early days as David Bowie’s official photographer to working with the Stooges, Lou Reed, shooting the legendary cover of Queen II, right up to working with modern artists like Father John Misty. It looks pretty bloody good.
