Adult Swim are making all the right moves lately. The company that has brought us the gems Rick and Morty, Metalocalypse and The Eric Andre Show has been propelled to the forefront of the late night, stoner comedy world lately, but today’s news from the team is bittersweet.
Animator and voice actor C. Martin Croker, best known for his work on cult series Space Ghost Coast to Coast recently passed, and Adult Swim broke the news by making every single episode of the show available for free on their site.
Space Ghost Coast to Coast was the cult classic that brought countless cameos from musicians, actors and comedians to the world of the animated in classic Adult Swim silliness.
Across the program’s nine seasons we saw Space Ghost and Zorak run into shenanigans involving Thom Yorke, Dave Grohl, The Ramones, Busta Rhymes, and Willie Nelson.
If you’ve never heard of (or were too young to remember) the sheer ridiculousness that was Space Ghost Coast to Coast, this should say enough: read the plot summary to season 1, episode 7 below.
“Space Ghost is nurturing a special pet—Banjo the sea monkey. Zorak sabotages the interview with Schooly D by hypnotically controlling Space Ghost’s mind.
