What a legend: Jack White shares another emotional track from his upcoming Acoustic Recordings album

White Stripes superstar Jack White keeps delivering on the press tour for his latest record Acoustic Recordings 1998-2015. Earlier in the week we saw him perform a medley of Love Is The Truth and You’ve Got Her In Your Pocket live on Jimmy Fallon.

Today, we we’re treated to another gem from the musical legend.

Jack White keeps impressing with excerpts from his archival record Acoustic Recordings 1995-2008, and last night we witnessed another White Stripes classic on an iconic UK program.

Later…with Jools Holland is the UK megaseries that talks all things music, and it’s just about to kick off it’s 49th run. The return episode features guest appearances from M83, Kings of Leon, Jimmy Page, Sting and of course, Jack White.

Choosing another track from old-school White Stripes releases, White performed the stunning We Are Going To Be Friends, a humble schoolyard gem about young romance. It makes for an emotional performance equal to, or even greater than, his first on Fallon’s show.

Originally an acoustic recording, this is one track which didn’t require a huge rework to earn a spot on White’s new record.

You can watch the performance below. Additionally, the show will run an extended premiere on Friday featuring extra performances from White.
