Fresh from releasing their bloody excellent collaborative record Lotta Sea Lice last week, Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile have been busy on the road. Last weekend they played Desert Daze in Joshua Tree, California, and the next few months are locked up with dates all over the States.
They also found time this week to perform a live set for the folks at Pitchfork – on a cliff in Malibu.
Watch an hour of Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile ripping through songs from their new collaborative album Lotta Sea Lice on a cliff in Malibu.
The performance is a 60 minute set featuring songs from Lotta Sea Lice, including singles Over Everything and Continental Breakfast, plus covers of Barnett original Outta The Woodwork, and Vile’s track Peeping Tom.
Drenched in sunshine and well on top of their game, it’s a pretty blissful watch. Catch it on Pitchfork while it’s still live below.
