King Gizzard have not stopped to take a breath in the last two years. Relentless touring in between writing and recording god knows how many records have seen the band’s meteoric rise continue, not only in Australia, but across the world too.

If you follow the band’s social media accounts you’ll have seen them traversing the globe, playing huge festivals and sold out club gigs day after day. In fact, over the past two years they’ve completed seven separate tours.

You’d think amongst this mayhem the band would have minimal time to think about documenting their travels, but in true Gizz fashion, they’re full of creative surprises once again.

The band have just released a full length feature doco covering the last two years of their life called the Bootleg Holiday from Hell. That’s two hours of footage of shows, times on the road, rehearsals, recording in the studio, festivals slots, shooting film clips and doing various weird shit.

Created by Jason Galea, the documentary is an rare insight to the life of King Gizzard and is a must-watch for anyone who’s intrigued about what it is like to be the busiest band in Australia.
