After it was announced last week that The Jezebels would not be appearing at Mountain Sounds Festival due to the health of keyboardist Heather Shannon, it has been revealed today that Violent Soho will be stepping in to take their place.
With a new album set for the not too distant future, they will be playing on the back of their successful single, Like Soda, which nabbed the 15th spot in the triple J Hottest 100 countdown yesterday. What’s more, they have pledged to donate all proceeds from the sales of their merchandise to Ovarian Cancer Australia, to support and raise funds for awareness and research.
They join the line-up alongside the likes of Alpine, Holy Holy, Albert Hammond Jr and Skeggs, with the festival going down on Saturday February 20 at Mount Penang Parklands.
