The Pinheads release second single off The Velvet Undergound tribute album

As a group of local psychedelic bands pay tribute to The Velvet Underground by re-working their 1970’s album Loaded, The Pinheads have shared the second single off the compilation, covering Rock & Roll.

Wollongong

Never ones to miss a beat, The Pinheads have re-created the legendary track with the addition of a faster tempo and their unmistakable haze and grit. The Pinhead’s frontman Jez Player explained “Luke (lead guitar/brother) and I first heard VU’s Rock & Roll on a skate movie many years ago when we were young baby dicks and fell in love, so we had to grab it when asked to be part of this. We missed the deadline so we chucked some Pini’s cheezle dust on it overnight and let it brew.”

This single follows the album’s first cover, which saw Burn Antares take on Who Loves The Sun, with the full album being released on October 27 featuring the likes of The Upskirts, Salvador Dami Llama and Bad Valley.
