A novel based on the theory that Kurt Cobain was murdered is set to hit stores later this year

A graphic novel surrounding the death of Kurt Cobain and the theory that he was murdered is on the cusp of being released.

Suicide

The graphic novel Who Killed Kurt Cobain? will attempt to solve the long standing theories around the musicians death.

Written and illustrated by award winning artist Nicolas Otero and dubbed Who Killed Kurt Cobain?, the novel is based on the French novel Le Roman de Boddah by Heloise Guay de Bellissen. The story will be based around the common theory that Cobain didn’t commit suicude and that rather, he was murdered, intertwined with a fictional re-telling of his life narrated by his imaginary childhood friend Boddah.

On the book, Otero explained “When Kurt put an end to his life in 1994, I remember hearing the name of Boddah for the first time. I thought it could be a fantastic way to tell Kurt’s story, with Boddah as the narrator. Twenty years later, my hair is not long nor dirty, I’m the father of three wonderful kids, and life has given me such a great gift. I can finally draw this little voice and explore what I imagined Kurt’s mind and life were inside. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as I enjoyed doing it. I’m 17 again today.”

The novel announcement comes not long after Seattle police released images of the weapon that Cobain used in his suicide in 1994. The case surrounding the musicians death was reopened in 2014, but closed soon after when investigators claiming there was no new evidence deem his death wasn’t suicide.

Who Killed Kurt Cobain? will hit book stores in October this year.
