The Flaming Lips are heading this way for Summer 2016, but have only announced a couple of exclusive hows for the tour.
The psychedelic collective will be bringing their mind-blowing live experience to Hobart for the MONA FOMA festival, taking place from January 13th-18th. The band have also just announced they will be playing a one-off headline show at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on January 8th before heading to NZ for the McLaren Valley festival.
This is the first time The Flaming Lips will have toured Australia since their 2014 tribute to The Beatles‘ seminal Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Titled With A Little Help From My Fwends, the album features collaborations with Miley Cyrus, J Mascis, Foxygen and Phantogram amongst many, many others. The Flaming Lips always display an awe-inspiring live show, and you’d be insane to miss it.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday the 22nd of October via Secret Sounds with pre-sale starting on the Wednesday.
