The Dunies, the Ridge and The Smith Street Band tore it up at Festival of the Sun 2016 and we’ve got the photos to prove it

One of the longer running Aussie festivals and just about the biggest BBQ there ever was, Festival of the Sun 2016 ticked all the boxes. Catch all our photos here.

Festival Of The Sun 2016 has just rolled by, and it was made pretty obvious why the event has been running for so long. With live music taking place over Friday and Saturday last week, the stellar line-up was killer enough to rival just about any festival that’s gone down this year.

The size of the venue at the Sundowner Breakwall in Port Macquarie was big enough to get massive amounts of energy pumping around, yet small enough to keep things feeling pretty personal between the bands and punters.

With the likes of Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, Middle Kids and The Lulu Raes taking to the stage on Friday and Dune Rats, Seth Sentry, The Smith Street Band and many more heating things up on Saturday, there really wasn’t one low point of the whole festival.

Every act absolutely smashed out their set, the weekend ran like clockwork and the rain that was lingering around on Thursday was nowhere to be seen.

Check out all the snaps from the weekend, plus keep your eyes peeled for a bunch of interviews with a bunch of the bands who played!
