6 Aussie gigs you need to see this weekend

Keen to live up these warm Spring vibes? So are we, so here are 6 gigs to check out this weekend with the Happy seal of approval. No warranty needed.

Airling – Friday October 9, Newtown Social Club, Sydney

Alt-pop songstress Airling has been stirring up plenty of buzz lately. Her new track Stallin is killer, not to mention she nailed it with Japanese Wallpaper on Forces. She’ll also be bringing old mate LANKS along for the ride!

Gold Class –  Friday October 9, The Tote, Melbourne

The Melburnian four-piece seemingly came out of nowhere earlier this year, but man we’re glad they’re here now. Their debut album It’s You is a dark and brooding exploration of post-punk and takes on a new bold flavour when you experience it live.

Ali Barter – Saturday October 10, Brighton Up Bar, Sydney

Another lady who’s been killing it lately, Ali Barter has been on fire since the release of her AB-EP. She’s just been announced for the Laneway festivities in 2016, so why not get down to the Brighton and get a sweet preview of what’s to come.

Loon Lake – Saturday October 10, Uni Bar, Adelaide

The sun is setting on the brilliant Loon Lake, the band deciding to call it a day after six years of fun fuelled rock n roll. Thankfully the boys are going out with a bang, kicking off a farewell tour this weekend.

Dustin Tebbutt – Saturday October 10, The Rosemount, Perth

Dustin Tebbutt has effectively stolen our hearts with his latest EP Home, an endearing collection of spacious and intimate music. He’s kicking off

The Delta Riggs – Saturday October 10, Sol Bar, Marrochydore

We shouldn’t have to explain why these boys are on our list. They’re The Delta Riggs, even Jimmy Fucking Page likes them.
