St. Vincent is your 2017 Record Store Day Ambassador. Or is she a dictator?

St. Vincent has got to be one of the vibey-est people in the world at this point. The sassy shredder today has another accolade to her long list, as she’s been announced as 2017’s Record Store Day Ambassador.

Annie Clark joins legends such as Dave Grohl, Ozzy Osbourne and Josh Homme in taking up the RSD mantle.

“It is with deep honour and humility that I accept this ambassadorship. Rest assured I do not take my duties lightly.”

Your dear leader of Record Store Day will be Annie Clark aka St. Vincent, and she’s undergone a special preparation for the esteemed role.

The announcement comes in a hilarious Funny or Die video in which Clark is wrongly informed she has become ambassador of the obscure Eastern European island Recorstoda.

A team of vibey af fashionistas, linguists and political advisors prepare her for the role, eventually turning her into a stylish, Gaddafi-esque dictator figure.

Record Store Day was officially founded in 2007, and some say it’s been an instrumental figure in the massive vinyl resurgence of recent times.
