Adam Schleichkorn – aka Mylo The Cat – is the man behind isthishowyougovirdal, an award-winning YouTube channel dedicated to masterfully executed mashup videos, mostly marrying classic cartoons with hip-hop tunes.
Some legend cut up Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird and spliced it together to reenact The Beastie Boys’ clip for Sabotage.
Some of his past subjects include Arthur lip-syncing Eminem’s Not Afraid, the Muppets doing Outkast’s Ms. Jackson, or Kermit slaying R. Kelley’s Ignition, though his latest effort is perhaps his most ambitious; and most flawless: a mashup of Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird and The Beastie Boys’ Sabotage.
“About 3 years ago,” Schleichkorn said, “I spent a Sunday editing a video of the Muppets rapping So What’Cha Want, which ended up being a total game-changer for me. The original Sabotage music video is without a doubt, one of the greatest of all time, so I knew I couldn’t do a regular old lip sync video, I had to bring it! RIP MCA.”
