By far one of the most thrilling, mind-boggling, brain-melting live experiences ever, The Flaming Lips are not to be missed. They play the Palais Theatre this Friday and a free show at The Domain in Sydney on Saturday with The Grates and Royal Headache respectively. Yeah, I know right.
Postblue – The Foundry, Brisbane, Friday 8th January

What a bloody lineup. Melbourne is brimming with incredible, extremely quirky, female vocalists, and these four bands are at the epoch of this trend. Well not so much a trend.
