PREMIERE: Surrender as Tim Smyth & HolyTrash take you to Hollywood and back in their new clip Calefornia

Rock ‘n’ roll with a Hollywood twist, Tim Smyth & HolyTrash have just dropped the bold new clip for their single Calefornia. Dripping in drama, front man Smyth is in conflict, with himself, with a partner, with a city.

Cinematic and swathed in luscious, smoky Los Angeles hues, Calefornia is dirty glamour at its best. Smyth’s vocals are as powerful as his gaze, which doesn’t falter, staring an audience down, daring them to look away.

I can only imagine what this must do to a crowd.

Tim Smyth & HolyTrash pack a punch on Calefornia, a deliciously West Coast rock tune drenched in turbulent sex appeal.

The clip is deeply sensual and takes on all the very best of the glitter rock ‘n’ roll, and although it’s packed with aching vocals and shredding guitar, the narrative is not lost. The lonely lights never seemed so inviting.

If you’re a fan already you’ll know this latest release only continues the train of excellence. Harrowing and honest, Tim Smyth & HolyTrash are anything but boring, merging luscious musicianship with poetic story lines sure to make you lean in.

Calefornia is a step up in production quality from the last clip My Imagination, at no point falling down in crisp delivery and composition. Reaching heights which few emerging artists can attain, this Melbourne band are far from finished.

With a start this good, it’s hard to not lick your lips at the thought of more.

The band have shows coming up in the following locations, so if you’re there and ready for something that will get you tingling then Tim Smyth & HolyTrash is where it’s at.
