Glowing with good vibes and a positive energy, the five new tracks are a shining addition to Golden Age of Ballooning’s Illusion of Control EP.

Bound together by sun-drenched tracks Feeling Old, Sleep Last Night, Believing Made It Real, Summer Town Live and Anita Big Love, the songs (much like their titles) are a dreamy and rhythmic blend, made up of three new cuts and two live recordings.

Nostalgic of Jonathan Wilson, Radiohead and Band of Horses, Golden Age of Ballooning have truly captured the notion of drifting off to sleep in these five bonus tracks, whilst simultaneously keeping our full attention.

A blend between psych-rock, folk and pop, this six piece team have nailed the art of creating unique and powerful music, proving once more that Brisbane is a petri-dish for diverse and creative talent.

From vocal harmonies, to dreamy, hypnotic guitar that draws similarities to Pink Floyd and Neil Young, Feeling Old is a clear stand out track, although the addition of live recordings for Summer Town Live and Anita Big Love show demonstrate the band’s raw and undeniable talent.

The special edition EP marks Golden Age of Ballooning’s first ever vinyl release, with the new tracks aligning to an LP-length record.

If you’re local to Brissy, pick up your vinyl copy from Tym’s Guitars, Foundry Records, Jet Black Cat Music and Sonic Sherpa on November 10, or catch the real deal at Jungle Love Festival over the weekend of November 30 – December 2.
