High-tails, Body Type, Spike Vincent, Radmax and KRILL proved there’s nothing better than a house party last weekend, holding a stifled shindig in Dulwich Hill.
Other than the yard couches, bodacious buds, and the glimmer of exclusivity, I think we can all agree that the key ingredient to an auspicious house party is the music, right? Well, it doesn’t get much sexier than the lineup High-tails put together over the weekend.
The “slinky guitar-popsters” are releasing their debut LP A Slight Hi next week and, to raise cash for the vinyl pressing, they decided to put together a small fundraiser involving adequate ruckus. Local legends Radmax, KRILL, Spike Vincent and Body Type all joined in for what became an epic night at a hush location in Dulwich Hill.
We arrived in time to catch Spike Vincent tearing down the living room stage, followed by one of the most hectic sets we’ve seen from Body Type, and headliner High-tails taking out the night in an awesome wave.
And for the pièce de résistance, the rest of the proceeds from the party were donated to local charity The Rough Period, helping women doing it rough on Sydney’s streets. Fucking beaut.
Pre-orders for the band’s lush red vinyl are now available through their Bandcamp. A Slight Hi drops October 13.
In the meantime, peep some stills.
