American electronic musician Moby isn’t shy when it comes to articulating his views on American politics. When asked to DJ at the inauguration of President Donald Trump, he rejected the offer via a fiery Instagram post and a scathing Spotify playlist including tracks by politically visible artists like Public Enemy, Green Day and Radiohead.
Moby has teamed up with activist and animator Steve Cutts again for a new music video roasting the current climate of American politics, Capitalism and the meat industry.
Moby’s latest video with The Void Pacific Choir, In This Cold Place, blatantly tackles corruption, greed, ethics in the meat and dairy industries, capitalism… and probably a whole lot more.
He’s also no stranger to using animations in his music videos as a satirical plot device to represent these morbid themes.
In 2016, he released the clip for Are You Lost In The World Like Me? which paints a horrifying portrait of a smartphone obsessed society, through the animation work of Steve Cutts. He described the clip as “without question one of the best videos that’s ever been made for one of my songs.”
Unsurprisingly, Trump supporters had a field day on Twitter in reaction to his latest production.
