Little Bastard + OXBLVD + Ranger Spacey

Little Bastard are a band who aren’t afraid of a stringed instrument. A little like The Snowdroppers after getting into the rider too early, The Decemberists if they were kicked out of their Ivy League university or that fiddle band you saw at Harvest festival that were playing on top of a coffee cart if they weren’t quite as well dressed – Little Bastard are the punkgrass blues band that make fat, singalong tunes. They also put on a high energy show that’s difficult to forget – a show which you’ll be able to catch this weekend at The Factory Floor.

Little Bastard

This Saturday (15th Feb 2014), catch them alongside other delta inspired Sydney act OXBLVD, who have been making waves at home, touring with The Bamboos and embarking on a hugely successful tour of the United States. They’ll be returning to the States in March as part of the legion of Aussie bands at this year’s SXSW, so this will be your last chance to catch them before they embark – unless you’re in the US, in which case you can check em out at these dates here.

Sydney rock band Ranger Spacey will be joining the two, also an act that are turning a few brainy heads in the local music community, having just launched their Sad Songs single across the east coast to critical acclaim.

The Factory Floor is the little room underneath the Factory Theatre proper, featuring a much more relaxed atmosphere, an open-air bar, reasonable(ish) drink prices and located in the heart of Marrickville’s nouveau bohemian culture. Tix are $15.00 a pop and are available either on the door or at the Factory website – doors open at 7pm.
