Sun-drenched harmonies, soothing guitar riffs and upbeat melodies: Nicholas Leech’s new EP Wild Heart is easy listening perfected

Nicholas Leech is the epitome of tranquillity and ambience, a blend of soothing harmonies that create the perfect soundtrack for that euphoric, dream-like state you often find yourself in right before drifting off to sleep.

Having said that, Leech’s new EP Wild Heart is far from boring and is so amicable, you won’t want to miss a second of it. This independent singer/songwriter from Western Sydney is one to keep an eye out for, with a soothing array of tracks each as remarkably diverse as the next.

With soaring melodies, transcendental harmonies and an addictive, individual spin, Nicholas Leech’s EP Wild Heart will have you feeling like you’ve conquered the world.

The 14 tracks that make up Leech’s first ever EP Wild Heart can best be described as a transition between genres, putting an individual spin on his style as an artist. With each track flowing into the next, the uninterrupted melodies, peaceful guitar riffs and delicate beats fit together like missing pieces of a puzzle that create something otherworldly when put together.

Song after song, Leech’s vocals have a way of making his listeners feel warm and inspired, without even really knowing what they are inspired about. Twenty seconds in to opening track When I Come Home, and conquering the world doesn’t seem like too difficult a task. With a beat that slowly progresses, climaxing into an abundance of harmonies and guitar riffs, anticipating what will follow is anyone’s guess.

Leech certainly keeps listeners guessing throughout the album,Pulsing breaking out into slightly heavier, guitar-driven chorus and tracks The Man In The Moon, WAVES, Air and Last Man Standing taking a new turn altogether. Not only do they embrace the ambient beauty that is Leech’s style; they also show a more upbeat, synth-based edge to Wild Heart

Taking the vibe from a scenic nature walk into tracks that could be listened to at a house party, Wild Heart bears an interesting combination of genres that are so unexpectedly in sync it perfectly fits the bill.

The technological element Leech incorporates throughout Wild Heart along with his soothing voice and delicate guitar create the perfect balance of sun-drenched, floaty melodies that ultimately create an ideal, easy-listening soundtrack for any environment, or more ideally a golden Sunday afternoon.
