Lana Del Rey and Stevie Nicks: The dream team. Two beautiful people singing about beautiful problems

After a recent song collaboration with The Weeknd ahead of Lana Del Rey’s up and coming album, Lust for Life, the 31-year-old singer songwriter has joined forces with legendary rock goddess Stevie Nicks.

Del Rey stated that Nicks, “was amazing. She’s just everything you hope she’s gonna be. She’s so contemporary, and she knows all the new music that’s out weekly. She loved the track and she added so much to it.”

With tracks, Love, Cherry and Coachella-Woodstock In My Mind already released, Del Rey has just revealed the title of her song with Nicks off the new record, Beautiful People Beautiful Problems.

Del Rey stated in a recent interview she thought she had finished the record a couple of times, however felt it needed more of a woman’s touch. After racking her brains with her producer Rick Noels, the only name that seemed to keep recurring was none other than Stevie Nicks. Luckily Noels went to high school with Nicks, so it only took a phone call before Nicks flew to the studio and began recording the new track.

Del Rey stated that Nicks, “was amazing. She’s just everything you hope she’s gonna be. She’s so contemporary, and she knows all the new music that’s out weekly. She loved the track and she added so much to it.”

Del Rey views Nicks as an inspiration, admiring the fact that the muse is her priority and follows wherever it takes her. With the new album originally intended to have more of a 50s-60s feel but resulting in a more updated sound, Del Rey believes that lyrically, the new album has more of a political message.

“I felt like it was more wanting to talk to the younger side of the audience that I have. I guess it’s a little more socially aware. It’s kind of a global feeling.”

A release date for the upcoming album is still yet to be revealed. Listen to the full interview below.
