Jack Ladder and the Dreamlander’s cover of Dire Straits’ So Far Away is heaven

The dulcet tones of Jack Ladder and The Dreamlanders have graced our auditory senses this morning with a ridiculously smooth cover of the Dire Straits classic So Far Away.

Jack Ladder So Far Away cover

Sporting one of the most alluring voices in Aussie music, Jack Ladder covering a Dire Straights track makes a lot of sense. The cover was recorded with Laurence Pike and Neal Sutherland from The Dreamlanders as well as Jason Walker whose dreamy steel pedal featured on Ladder’s latest album Playmates. The same session also gave birth to the acoustic version of To Keep and Be Kept.

Jack Ladder and The Dreamlanders recently wrapped up a big tour supporting Florence and the Machine in Australia and Auckland. The band are set to tour the US in December before coming back to home soil for two shows in Sydney and Melbourne in January. Check out their socials for all the tour deets.

And if you fancy yourself a chuckle this morning why not check out these portraits of fellow Dreamlanders Donny Benet and Kirin J Callinan and their gloriously filthy stashes.
