Listening to Yard Duty’s Mixed Business reminds me of girls whose names I’ve forgotten, parties I’ve been to whose hosts remain a mystery, Centrelink appointments, calling in sick, and using precious savings to pay rent. In other words, they’re one of those bands who combine thrown together, chaotic sound with lyrics so familiar you’d swear you know at least one band member IRL. But ya don’t.
