With Jamie xx coming down under for a string of festival appearances, he has now announced that he will be doing a one off headline show in Melbourne in support of his debut album In Colour.
He is set to take the stage at The Forum Theatre on Sunday January 10 after playing Beyond The Valley, Lost Paradise and FOMO. He told triple J that aside from his solo work, he is also currently working on his band, The xx’s new album, a follow up to their 2012 release Coexist. On the upcoming album’s sound, he told triple J “I always wanted it to be a progression, but we just want to write the best songs we can,” he explains. It’s going really well, just writing more songs, finishing songs that we’ve written before”.
Presented by Handsome Tours, pre-sale tickets to Handsome Tours subscribers will be on sae from 8am on Tuesday October 6, with tickets going on sale for the general public at 9am on Friday October 9.
