The world dropped everything when Game of Thrones season 7 premiered on Sunday. Even the porn.
The good statisticians over at Pornhub (bless them) noticed some odd numbers on Sunday night (Monday for the Aussies). On what was usually one of their most popular days of the week, traffic dropped by a whopping five percent.
A quick Google search reveals that Pornhub sees around 20 million unique visitors per day. And suddenly, five percent doesn’t seem so small.
Jury’s out: the world has prioritised Game of Thrones over porn. To be fair, the season 7 premiere had me more than a little excited.
The world’s most pirated show, potentially the world’s most popular series and now, the show that stops porn. Who needs an Emmy, that’s the accomplishment of a lifetime.
